Education: Attorney Chekani, is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester State College, Anna Maria College, and Western New England College School of Law, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, in October 2000.

Practice: Ms. Chekani practices as a Trial and Elder Law Attorney, focusing on serving the needs of the senior population and older individuals, as well as people with disabilities, and their families. She regularly represents clients in Medicaid Planning and Advocacy.

Prior to her practice at EDLA, Ms. Chekani practiced law in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Workers Compensation, and Defense of Nursing Licenses in Massachusetts. She has represented clients at trial, hearings, and other various administrative processes.

Other Experience: Ms. Chekani is a Registered Radiologic Technologist with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field. She also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Professional and Community Activities: Ms. Chekani is a volunteer Health Care Proxy, through the Worcester County Bar Association. She has appeared, as a co-host with Attorney Nicholas Kaltsas on the WTAG “Senior Focus” radio program. Ms. Chekani also volunteers each summer at the Children’s Friend “Big Dipper” Ice Cream Festival, an annual fundraiser, held in Worcester each year. The proceeds from this event are used to provide numerous service programs, to “at risk” children and their families. In addition, Ms. Chekani frequently volunteers, at her church’s various fund raising activities.
