To Nick and Staff:

A deceptively simple legal matter turned into a long legal battle, which was difficult on many levels; personal, emotional and drawn out but your whole office supported us and found us the help we needed. We were able to get some comfort in getting the care my mother needed at a difficult time in her life and ours. Everyone in your office was wonderful.

Thank you for putting up with many panicked phone calls and frantic states from our family. I don’t think you could have done any better.

Sincerely, Ann

I was referred to Nick by my neighbor after two other attorneys failed to perform the tasks as I had requested.  As you perhaps know, my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1999.  I obtained the services of Nick in January, 2004 to handle the process of me obtaining Guardianship of my wife, create an Estate Plan, prepare a Mass Health Application, create a Health Care Proxy, and other legal documents.  We have worked together since our initial meeting completing these tasks. At this time I must say that I am very, very pleased with Nick’s efforts.  I was very much impressed during our first meeting when he continued to include my wife in our conversation, even though she was unable to understand the purpose and details of the meeting.  That, I thought, was very nice of him to do.

Nick is very thorough when explaining where we are in the process, and what must be done to complete a particular phase of the process.  He has always kept me up to date on the status of his work and included me immediately if he needed attention to a certain item.  The only thing I’m sorry for is the fact I didn’t retain Nick much earlier in this legal process.  If I had, I would have been feeling much better, much sooner than I am now.

Overall, I am very, very pleased with Nick’s performance and would recommend him to any one that is looking for a nice, personable, and very knowledgeable in law attorney, especially for us senior citizens.

Regards,
Stu

To the Staff at Elder & Disability Law Advocates:

Thank you for helping me through the difficult process of estate planning. You answered all of my questions about handling my affairs with expertise and kindness.

I was very pleased with the services you provided to me. Nick took his time in explaining everything to me thoroughly and Donna helped me to understand what needed to be done to protect my assets. They made me feel like I wasn’t just a number and I felt like they really cared.

I received all of my draft documents within three days and within one week I signed my estate plan. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

Again thank you so much for all you have done. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to my family and friends.

Sincerely,
Irene

I could not have endured this difficult time in my life without your firm’s help.  You not only helped me in getting the best care for my mom who has Alzheimer’s Disease, you have given me the best advice in dealing with the stress and making difficult decisions.  You have given me my life back and there are no words to say how grateful I am.  To anyone that is facing this challenge in their lives, I have and will continue to refer your firm.

To Kathy and staff at Elder & Disability Law Advocates: Your secretary was very happy to drop off the papers and we had a nice chat. It was a very heavy pile, so its great that she could get it to us, without being mailed!  That would have been an expense! Thanks again for all the work you and your office did in our behalf.  It was a very confusing time for us and not being thoroughly satisfied with the previous council, you and your office came through for us and a big way.  It simplified all the questions we had and dealing with a very (hard to get in touch with) state office, we are happy to have your professional input.

Thanks to your office also, for our Family Trust documents, power of attorney’s, Healthcare proxies, and new Wills.  We really are happy to be up to date on these issues and have them ready for the 5 year look back, if one of us is in trouble with medical needs and care.  We feel much safer that this is all done and will ask for more assistance if it’s needed!

Everyone in your office is very friendly and willing to be helpful. Please file this email and a big THANK YOU to you all.  I hope things will go along smoothly from now on!

Sincerely,  Judy & Jerry

In our case, a need for an outline of major points in the first round of explanations concerning trusts and the second round of explanations did clarify matters which helped alot.  I would recommend bringing a paper and pen to the appointment.

Credit should be tendered to Donna for her clarification of matters and Attorney Daviau was also thorough in his representation of the two themes of Probate.
